While triple pane windows are extremely valuable, there are a few things you should be aware of before making your decision.  The primary disadvantage of triple pane windows is the cost.  Although those expenses will be recouped over time, the extra 25-40% percent cost upfront is difficult for some families to handle.  Additionally, a common complaint among triple pane window owners is that the weight of the panes is noticeably heavier than their double pane counterparts.  Although this is an insignificant compromise considering their benefits, you shouldn’t purchase triple pane windows without first testing them in a showroom or demo units.
